Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Matt Connors could be acquired at Christies in New York in February 2019 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Post-War to Present auction, the work Purple Bottom changed hands for USD 12,500.00 (€ 10,985.15) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Admittedly, works by Matt Connors have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Second Pitch - Shift in November 2016 with an auction result of USD 112,500.00 (€ 106,352.81).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Matt Connors konnte im Februar 2019 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Post-War to Present wechselte die Arbeit Purple Bottom für USD 12.500,00 (€ 10.985,15) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Matt Connors auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Second Pitch - Shift im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 112.500,00 (€ 106.352,81).
