Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Matt Connors could be acquired at Phillips in New York in March this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the New Now auction, the work Self-translating changed hands for USD 38,100.00 (€ 35,044.15) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Matt Connors - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Second Pitch - Shift, which sold at auction in November 2016 for USD 112,500.00 (€ 106,352.81).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Matt Connors konnte im März diesen Jahres bei Phillips in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion New Now wechselte die Arbeit Self-translating für USD 38.100,00 (€ 35.044,15) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Matt Connors mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Second Pitch - Shift beobachtet, die im November 2016 für USD 112.500,00 (€ 106.352,81) versteigert wurde.
