Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Matt Connors could be acquired at Phillips in New York in July this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the 20th Century & Contemporary Art auction, the work Second Table changed hands for USD 13,970.00 (€ 12,676.95) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Admittedly, works by Matt Connors have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Second Pitch - Shift in November 2016 with an auction result of USD 112,500.00 (€ 106,352.81).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Matt Connors konnte im Juli diesen Jahres bei Phillips in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art wechselte die Arbeit Second Table für USD 13.970,00 (€ 12.676,95) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Matt Connors auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Second Pitch - Shift im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 112.500,00 (€ 106.352,81).
