This artwork by Matt Connors achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in New York in June 2021. In the 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Afternoon Session auction, the work Third Pitch Shifter (Second State) sold for USD 44,100.00 (€ 37,221.47) - well above the upper estimate of USD 20,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Matt Connors - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Second Pitch - Shift, which sold at auction in November 2016 for USD 112,500.00 (€ 106,352.81).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Matt Connors erzielte im Juni 2021 bei Phillips in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Afternoon Session wurde die Arbeit Third Pitch Shifter (Second State) für USD 44.100,00 (€ 37.221,47) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 20.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Matt Connors mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Second Pitch - Shift beobachtet, die im November 2016 für USD 112.500,00 (€ 106.352,81) versteigert wurde.
