In May last year Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Day Auction, which included the work Frieze by Mark Tansey. The »bidding war« ended at USD 882,000.00 (€ 821,917.81), 47% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Mark Tansey have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Source Of The Loue in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 7,453,600.00 (€ 6,386,975.15).

Im Mai letzten Jahres führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Day Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit Frieze von Mark Tansey zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 882.000,00 (€ 821.917,81) und damit 47% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Mark Tansey auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Source Of The Loue im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 7.453.600,00 (€ 6.386.975,15).
