This artwork by Mark Tansey achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in November last year. In the Visionary: The Paul G. Allen Collection Part II auction, the work Intermission sold for USD 151,200.00 (€ 146,469.05) - well above the upper estimate of USD 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mark Tansey achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Source Of The Loue in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 7,453,600.00 (€ 6,386,975.15).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Mark Tansey erzielte im November letzten Jahres bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Visionary: The Paul G. Allen Collection Part II wurde die Arbeit Intermission für USD 151.200,00 (€ 146.469,05) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 60.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mark Tansey erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Source Of The Loue im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 7.453.600,00 (€ 6.386.975,15).
