Allen Collection Part II auction, the work Literalists Discarding the Frame sold for USD 119,700.00 (€ 115,954.66) - well above the upper estimate of USD 45,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mark Tansey achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Source Of The Loue in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 7,453,600.00 (€ 6,386,975.15).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Mark Tansey erzielte im November letzten Jahres bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Visionary: The Paul G. Allen Collection Part II wurde die Arbeit Literalists Discarding the Frame für USD 119.700,00 (€ 115.954,66) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 45.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mark Tansey erzielen.
