Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Dominion over the Earth by Mark Innerst was auctioned at Christies in New York in September 2008. It changed hands for a price of USD 18,750.00 (€ 13,315.82) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Mark Innerst - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Distant View, which sold at auction in May last year for USD 35,280.00 (€ 32,876.71).

Die Arbeit Dominion over the Earth von Mark Innerst kam im September 2008 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 18.750,00 (€ 13.315,82) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Mark Innerst mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Distant View beobachtet, die im Mai letzten Jahres für USD 35.280,00 (€ 32.876,71) versteigert wurde.
