The work Weeping Hydrant by Mark Handforth was auctioned at Sothebys in London in February 2015. It achieved a price of GBP 62,500.00 (€ 86,178.22), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 56%. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Mark Handforth; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Bent Pipe sold at auction in February 2007 with the realized price of USD 198,000.00 (€ 149,659.86).

Die Arbeit Weeping Hydrant von Mark Handforth kam im Februar 2015 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 62.500,00 (€ 86.178,22) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 56%. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Mark Handforth; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Bent Pipe im Februar 2007 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 198.000,00 (€ 149.659,86).
