Auction result well in line with expectations
The work English Rose by Mark Handforth was auctioned at Phillips in London in April 2019. It changed hands for a price of GBP 18,750.00 (€ 21,811.67) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Admittedly, works by Mark Handforth have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Bent Pipe in February 2007 with an auction result of USD 198,000.00 (€ 149,659.86).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit English Rose von Mark Handforth kam im April 2019 bei Phillips in London zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 18.750,00 (€ 21.811,67) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Mark Handforth auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Bent Pipe im Februar 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 198.000,00 (€ 149.659,86).
