Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Lucky Luke by Mark Handforth was sold in the Contemporary Art Day Auction auction at Sothebys in London in February 2015. The price achieved of GBP 25,000.00 (€ 34,471.29) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Admittedly, works by Mark Handforth have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Bent Pipe in February 2007 with an auction result of USD 198,000.00 (€ 149,659.86).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Lucky Luke von Mark Handforth wurde im Februar 2015 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 25.000,00 (€ 34.471,29) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Mark Handforth auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Bent Pipe im Februar 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 198.000,00 (€ 149.659,86).
