Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled Nos. 5, 6, 8 and 9 by Mark Francis was sold in the Evening & Day Editions auction at Phillips in London in January 2021. It changed hands for a price of GBP 1,134.00 (€ 1,282.40) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mark Francis achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Symbiosis (Mesh) in July 2008 with an auction result of GBP 32,450.00 (€ 41,228.09).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled Nos. 5, 6, 8 and 9 von Mark Francis wurde im Januar 2021 in der Auktion Evening & Day Editions bei Phillips in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 1.134,00 (€ 1.282,40) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mark Francis erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Symbiosis (Mesh) im Juli 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 32.450,00 (€ 41.228,09).
