Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Mark Francis could be acquired at Phillips in an online auction in July last year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Heatwave: Online Auction auction, the work Undulation changed hands for GBP 2,016.00 (€ 2,407.46) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mark Francis achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Symbiosis (Mesh) in July 2008 with an auction result of GBP 32,450.00 (€ 41,228.09).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Mark Francis konnte im Juli letzten Jahres bei Phillips in einer Online-Auktion für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Heatwave: Online Auction wechselte die Arbeit Undulation für GBP 2.016,00 (€ 2.407,46) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mark Francis erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Symbiosis (Mesh) im Juli 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 32.450,00 (€ 41.228,09).
