Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2020 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Curated, which included the work Primal Brand by Mark di Suvero. The price achieved of USD 69,300.00 (€ 59,500.30) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. Admittedly, works by Mark di Suvero have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Tumbleweed II (Joint) in October 2020 with an auction result of EUR 548,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2020 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Curated durch, in der auch die Arbeit Primal Brand von Mark di Suvero zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 69.300,00 (€ 59.500,30) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 60.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Mark di Suvero auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Tumbleweed II (Joint) im Oktober 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 548.000,00.
