Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Magritte Ii by Marisol Escobar was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in September 2016. The price achieved of USD 237,500.00 (€ 211,336.54) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 200,000.00 – 300,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Marisol Escobar - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Andy, which sold at auction in May 2012 for USD 794,500.00 (€ 642,591.39).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 237.500,00 (€ 211.336,54) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 200.000,00 – 300.000,00 angegeben worden.
