Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2012 Christies in New York held the auction First Open Post-War Contemporary Art, which included the work Tea Ceremony III by Mariko Mori. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 8,125.00 (€ 6,093.45) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mariko Mori achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Cyclic II in March 2018 with an auction result of USD 156,250.00 (€ 126,826.30).
