Auction result well in line with expectations

In July 2020 Phillips in New York held the auction Photographs, which included the work La Dolorosa by Luis González Palma. It changed hands for a price of USD 8,750.00 (€ 7,431.63) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 7,000.00 – 9,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Luis González Palma - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work La Loteria I, 1989, which sold at auction in March 2014 for USD 30,000.00 (€ 21,775.42).

Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen

Im Juli 2020 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit La Dolorosa von Luis González Palma zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 8.750,00 (€ 7.431,63) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 7.000,00 – 9.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Luis González Palma mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit La Loteria I, 1989 beobachtet, die im März 2014 für USD 30.000,00 (€ 21.775,42) versteigert wurde.
