Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2020 Bonhams in New York held the auction Photographs, which included the work Las Sombras de Su Niñez (The Shadows of His Youth), from "Jerarquías de Intimidad, La Separación" by Luis González Palma. The price achieved of USD 6,325.00 (€ 5,699.23) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Luis González Palma - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work La Loteria I, 1989, which sold at auction in March 2014 for USD 30,000.00 (€ 21,775.42).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2020 führte Bonhams in New York die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Las Sombras de Su Niñez (The Shadows of His Youth), from "Jerarquías de Intimidad, La Separación" von Luis González Palma zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 6.325,00 (€ 5.699,23) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Luis González Palma mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit La Loteria I, 1989 beobachtet, die im März 2014 für USD 30.000,00 (€ 21.775,42) versteigert wurde.
