Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Luis González Palma could be acquired at Christies in New York in July 2016 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Living With Art auction, the work El silencio flota en el silencio, 1998 changed hands for USD 625.00 (€ 559.63) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Luis González Palma achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La Loteria I, 1989 in March 2014 with an auction result of USD 30,000.00 (€ 21,775.42).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Luis González Palma konnte im Juli 2016 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Living With Art wechselte die Arbeit El silencio flota en el silencio, 1998 für USD 625,00 (€ 559,63) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Luis González Palma erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit La Loteria I, 1989 im März 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 30.000,00 (€ 21.775,42).
