In the Creating a Stage: The Collection of Marsha and Robin Williams auction, the work Niño Sol sold for USD 5,250.00 (€ 4,632.90) - well above the upper estimate of USD 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by Luis González Palma have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work La Loteria I, 1989 in March 2014 with an auction result of USD 30,000.00 (€ 21,775.42).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Luis González Palma erzielte im Oktober 2018 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Creating a Stage: The Collection of Marsha and Robin Williams wurde die Arbeit Niño Sol für USD 5.250,00 (€ 4.632,90) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 3.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Luis González Palma auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit La Loteria I, 1989 im März 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 30.000,00 (€ 21.775,42).
