In September 2013 Christies in New York held the auction First Open, which included the work TinTin 5 by Lucy McKenzie. The »bidding war« ended at USD 11,250.00 (€ 8,311.78), 41% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lucy McKenzie achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Olga Korbut in October 2016 with an auction result of GBP 317,000.00 (€ 353,147.60).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 41 % übertroffen
Im September 2013 führte Christies in New York die Auktion First Open durch, in der auch die Arbeit TinTin 5 von Lucy McKenzie zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 11.250,00 (€ 8.311,78) und damit 41% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Lucy McKenzie erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Olga Korbut im Oktober 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 317.000,00 (€ 353.147,60).
