Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In October 2019 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Art Online | New York, which included the work Mates by Lucy McKenzie. Here, the upper estimate of USD 20,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 21,250.00 (€ 19,049.75). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lucy McKenzie achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Olga Korbut in October 2016 with an auction result of GBP 317,000.00 (€ 353,147.60).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Oktober 2019 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Art Online | New York durch, in der auch die Arbeit Mates von Lucy McKenzie zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 20.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 21.250,00 (€ 19.049,75) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Lucy McKenzie erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Olga Korbut im Oktober 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 317.000,00 (€ 353.147,60).
