Auction result well in line with expectations
The work I. Untitled (Bi-Curious) | II. Tintin I 2 Works by Lucy McKenzie was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in October 2019. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 2,125.00 (€ 1,904.98) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lucy McKenzie achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Olga Korbut in October 2016 with an auction result of GBP 317,000.00 (€ 353,147.60).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit I. Untitled (Bi-Curious) | II. Tintin I 2 Works von Lucy McKenzie kam im Oktober 2019 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 2.125,00 (€ 1.904,98) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Lucy McKenzie erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Olga Korbut im Oktober 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 317.000,00 (€ 353.147,60).
