Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Lucy McKenzie could be acquired at Phillips in London in June 2017 for an unexpectedly low price. In the 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale auction, the work Door 2 changed hands for GBP 18,750.00 (€ 21,352.75) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lucy McKenzie achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Olga Korbut in October 2016 with an auction result of GBP 317,000.00 (€ 353,147.60).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Lucy McKenzie konnte im Juni 2017 bei Phillips in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale wechselte die Arbeit Door 2 für GBP 18.750,00 (€ 21.352,75) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Lucy McKenzie erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Olga Korbut im Oktober 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 317.000,00 (€ 353.147,60).
