Auction result well in line with expectations
The work No. 2 Treno (Dyptich) by Luca Pignatelli was sold in the Contemporary Art auction at Sothebys in New York in September 2011. The price achieved of USD 25,000.00 (€ 18,588.74) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Luca Pignatelli - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Afroditesigned, Titled And Dated 2007 On The Reverse; Oil On Canvas, which sold at auction in May 2013 for EUR 39,900.00.

Die Arbeit No. 2 Treno (Dyptich) von Luca Pignatelli wurde im September 2011 in der Auktion Contemporary Art bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 25.000,00 (€ 18.588,74) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden.
