Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2012 Sothebys in New York held the auction Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale, which included the work Le Cap Brun by Louis Gaidan. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 43,750.00 (€ 33,627.98) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Louis Gaidan have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in February 2018 the work Mas en Provence was auctioned for GBP 40,000.00 (€ 45,185.49).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2012 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Le Cap Brun von Louis Gaidan zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 43.750,00 (€ 33.627,98) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Louis Gaidan konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Februar 2018 die Arbeit Mas en Provence für GBP 40.000,00 (€ 45.185,49) versteigert.
