The work La Pergola by Louis Gaidan was sold in the Impressionist and Modern Art auction at Sothebys in New York in September 2007. The result of USD 15,000.00 (€ 10,549.27) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Admittedly, works by Louis Gaidan have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Mas en Provence in February 2018 with an auction result of GBP 40,000.00 (€ 45,185.49).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit La Pergola von Louis Gaidan wurde im September 2007 in der Auktion Impressionist and Modern Art bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 15.000,00 (€ 10.549,27) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Louis Gaidan auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Mas en Provence im Februar 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 40.000,00 (€ 45.185,49).
