This artwork by Louis Gaidan achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in May 2016. In the Impressionist & Modern Art auction, the work Paysage Provençal sold for USD 18,750.00 (€ 16,838.80) - well above the upper estimate of USD 7,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Louis Gaidan - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Mas en Provence, which sold at auction in February 2018 for GBP 40,000.00 (€ 45,185.49).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Louis Gaidan erzielte im Mai 2016 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art wurde die Arbeit Paysage Provençal für USD 18.750,00 (€ 16.838,80) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 7.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Louis Gaidan mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Mas en Provence beobachtet, die im Februar 2018 für GBP 40.000,00 (€ 45.185,49) versteigert wurde.
