Auction result well in line with expectations
The work La Fontaine À Nimes by Louis Gaidan was auctioned at Christies in New York in December 2013. It changed hands for a price of USD 11,875.00 (€ 8,618.19) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Louis Gaidan have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Mas en Provence in February 2018 with an auction result of GBP 40,000.00 (€ 45,185.49).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit La Fontaine À Nimes von Louis Gaidan kam im Dezember 2013 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 11.875,00 (€ 8.618,19) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Louis Gaidan auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Mas en Provence im Februar 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 40.000,00 (€ 45.185,49).
