Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Les Pêcheurs À Carqueiranne by Louis Gaidan was sold in the Paintings of Provence auction at Artcurial in Paris in December 2010. The price achieved of EUR 16,576.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Louis Gaidan - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Mas en Provence, which sold at auction in February 2018 for GBP 40,000.00 (€ 45,185.49).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 16.576,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Louis Gaidan mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Mas en Provence beobachtet, die im Februar 2018 für GBP 40.000,00 (€ 45.185,49) versteigert wurde.
