This artwork by Liu Yujun achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in February 2015. In the Contemporary Art Day Auction auction, the work Unknown Liquid - S - 3 sold for GBP 7,500.00 (€ 10,341.39) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 4,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Liu Yujun - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sans titre, which sold at auction in May 2008 for EUR 35,050.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 88 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Liu Yujun erzielte im Februar 2015 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction wurde die Arbeit Unknown Liquid - S - 3 für GBP 7.500,00 (€ 10.341,39) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 4.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Liu Yujun mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Sans titre beobachtet, die im Mai 2008 für EUR 35.050,00 versteigert wurde.
