Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Liu Yujun achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in February 2015. In the Contemporary Art Day Auction auction, the work Unknown Liquid - A - 7 sold for GBP 15,000.00 (€ 20,682.77) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 7,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Liu Yujun; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Sans titre sold at auction in May 2008 with the realized price of EUR 35,050.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Liu Yujun erzielte im Februar 2015 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction wurde die Arbeit Unknown Liquid - A - 7 für GBP 15.000,00 (€ 20.682,77) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 7.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Liu Yujun; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Sans titre im Mai 2008 mit dem Hammerpreis von EUR 35.050,00.
