Auction result misses estimated price range
In February 2007 a collector was able to acquire this work without title by Liu Yujun for USD 3,900.00 (€ 2,947.85). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Art at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Liu Yujun achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sans titre in May 2008 with an auction result of EUR 35,050.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Februar 2007 konnte ein Sammler diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Liu Yujun für USD 3.900,00 (€ 2.947,85) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Art bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Liu Yujun erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Sans titre im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 35.050,00.
