Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (Hands And Triangle) by Liliana Porter was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in September 2019. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 12,000.00 – 16,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 12,500.00 (€ 11,462.63) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Liliana Porter - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in May 2015 for USD 27,500.00 (€ 25,013.64).
