Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Poem Dress "The Soul Selects Her Own Society" by Lesley Dill was auctioned at Phillips in New York in January 2012. Here, the upper estimate of USD 3,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 3,250.00 (€ 2,489.85). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Lesley Dill - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Clothe my Naked Body, Poem Wedding Dress, which sold at auction in July 2014 for USD 8,750.00 (€ 6,534.73).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Poem Dress "The Soul Selects Her Own Society" von Lesley Dill kam im Januar 2012 bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 3.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 3.250,00 (€ 2.489,85) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Lesley Dill mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Clothe my Naked Body, Poem Wedding Dress beobachtet, die im Juli 2014 für USD 8.750,00 (€ 6.534,73) versteigert wurde.
