Auction result misses estimated price range
In July 2016 a collector was able to acquire the work Flame Thread Dress of Polyglot Language by Lesley Dill for USD 250.00 (€ 223.85). This price was achieved in the auction Living With Art at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lesley Dill achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Clothe my Naked Body, Poem Wedding Dress in July 2014 with an auction result of USD 8,750.00 (€ 6,534.73).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juli 2016 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Flame Thread Dress of Polyglot Language von Lesley Dill für USD 250,00 (€ 223,85) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Living With Art bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Lesley Dill erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Clothe my Naked Body, Poem Wedding Dress im Juli 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 8.750,00 (€ 6.534,73).
