Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2018 Sothebys in New York held the auction TO LIVE WITH ART: Property from the Jerome & Ellen Stern Collection, which included the work Woman With Threads (I Took The Power In My Hand) by Lesley Dill. It changed hands for a price of USD 1,875.00 (€ 1,521.92) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Admittedly, works by Lesley Dill have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Clothe my Naked Body, Poem Wedding Dress in July 2014 with an auction result of USD 8,750.00 (€ 6,534.73).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2018 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion TO LIVE WITH ART: Property from the Jerome & Ellen Stern Collection durch, in der auch die Arbeit Woman With Threads (I Took The Power In My Hand) von Lesley Dill zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 1.875,00 (€ 1.521,92) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Lesley Dill auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Clothe my Naked Body, Poem Wedding Dress im Juli 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 8.750,00 (€ 6.534,73).
