Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Leon Golub achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in March 2018. In the Post-War and Contemporary Art auction, the work Henry Kissinger V sold for USD 37,500.00 (€ 30,438.31) - well above the upper estimate of USD 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Leon Golub have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work White Squad X in November 2014 with an auction result of USD 197,000.00 (€ 158,385.59).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Leon Golub erzielte im März 2018 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit Henry Kissinger V für USD 37.500,00 (€ 30.438,31) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 15.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Leon Golub auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit White Squad X im November 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 197.000,00 (€ 158.385,59).
