Auction result well in line with expectations
The work GRANTED! by Leon Golub was sold in the 20th Century & Contemporary Art: Online Auction auction at Phillips in March this year. It changed hands for a price of USD 4,826.00 (€ 4,438.93) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Leon Golub achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work White Squad X in November 2014 with an auction result of USD 197,000.00 (€ 158,385.59).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit GRANTED! von Leon Golub wurde im März diesen Jahres in der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art: Online Auction bei Phillips versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 4.826,00 (€ 4.438,93) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Leon Golub erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit White Squad X im November 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 197.000,00 (€ 158.385,59).
