Auction result well in line with expectations
In April this year Phillips in 12 - held the auction Wired: Online Auction, which included this untitled work by Leon Golub. It changed hands for a price of GBP 7,620.00 (€ 8,684.32) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Leon Golub achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work White Squad X in November 2014 with an auction result of USD 197,000.00 (€ 158,385.59).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April diesen Jahres führte Phillips in 12 - die Auktion Wired: Online Auction durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Leon Golub zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 7.620,00 (€ 8.684,32) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Leon Golub erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit White Squad X im November 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 197.000,00 (€ 158.385,59).
