The work Dez Camadas by Leda Catunda was sold in the Saturday@Phillips auction at Phillips in London in March 2008. The auction ended at the price of GBP 6,000.00 (€ 7,537.49), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Leda Catunda have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Emelec in November 2015 with an auction result of USD 40,000.00 (€ 37,871.62).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Dez Camadas von Leda Catunda wurde im März 2008 in der Auktion Saturday@Phillips bei Phillips in London versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 6.000,00 (€ 7.537,49) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Leda Catunda auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Emelec im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 40.000,00 (€ 37.871,62).
