Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Duas Moscas by Leda Catunda was sold in the Latin America auction at Phillips in New York in May 2013. It changed hands for a price of USD 18,750.00 (€ 14,436.40) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Leda Catunda - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Emelec, which sold at auction in November 2015 for USD 40,000.00 (€ 37,871.62).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Duas Moscas von Leda Catunda wurde im Mai 2013 in der Auktion Latin America bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 18.750,00 (€ 14.436,40) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Leda Catunda mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Emelec beobachtet, die im November 2015 für USD 40.000,00 (€ 37.871,62) versteigert wurde.
