The work Auto-Retrato by Leda Catunda was sold in the Latin American Art auction at Christies in New York in November 2013. The result of USD 20,000.00 (€ 14,699.40) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 20,000.00 – 25,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Leda Catunda - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Emelec, which sold at auction in November 2015 for USD 40,000.00 (€ 37,871.62).

Die Arbeit Auto-Retrato von Leda Catunda wurde im November 2013 in der Auktion Latin American Art bei Christies in New York versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 20.000,00 (€ 14.699,40) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 20.000,00 – 25.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Leda Catunda mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Emelec beobachtet, die im November 2015 für USD 40.000,00 (€ 37.871,62) versteigert wurde.
