This artwork by Leda Catunda achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in May 2012. In the Latin American Sale auction, the work Mosca sold for USD 40,000.00 (€ 32,351.99) - well above the upper estimate of USD 20,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Leda Catunda; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Emelec sold at auction in November 2015 with the realized price of USD 40,000.00 (€ 37,871.62).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Leda Catunda erzielte im Mai 2012 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Latin American Sale wurde die Arbeit Mosca für USD 40.000,00 (€ 32.351,99) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 20.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Leda Catunda; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Emelec im November 2015 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 40.000,00 (€ 37.871,62).
