Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In February 2016 Christies in London held the auction Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Auction, which included the work Wrapping Bonbon Marbre by Laurence Jenkell. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 30,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 32,500.00 (€ 41,644.74). Admittedly, works by Laurence Jenkell have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Bonbon Aluminum Polimiroir in November 2019 with an auction result of USD 325,000.00 (€ 294,945.09).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Februar 2016 führte Christies in London die Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit Wrapping Bonbon Marbre von Laurence Jenkell zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 30.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 32.500,00 (€ 41.644,74) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Laurence Jenkell auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Bonbon Aluminum Polimiroir im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 325.000,00 (€ 294.945,09).
