A top price for Lari Pittman - as previously expected
In May 2015 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Art Day Auction, which included the work A Transcendent Mutability Produced By Camouflage by Lari Pittman. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 200,000.00 – 300,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 225,000.00 (€ 204,657.09) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, A Transcendent Mutability Produced By Camouflage is the most expensive artwork by Lari Pittman that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im Mai 2015 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Transcendent Mutability Produced By Camouflage von Lari Pittman zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 200.000,00 – 300.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 225.000,00 (€ 204.657,09) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
