Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Lari Pittman was auctioned at Phillips in March this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 4,064.00 (€ 3,738.04) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lari Pittman achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Transcendent Mutability Produced By Camouflage in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 225,000.00 (€ 204,657.09).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Lari Pittman kam im März diesen Jahres bei Phillips zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 4.064,00 (€ 3.738,04) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Lari Pittman erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Transcendent Mutability Produced By Camouflage im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 225.000,00 (€ 204.657,09).
