Auction result well in line with expectations
The work This Landscape, Beloved and Despised, Continues Regardless by Lari Pittman was auctioned at Bonhams in Los Angeles in January 2024. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, the actual price achieved of USD 1,088.00 (€ 950.88) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lari Pittman achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Transcendent Mutability Produced By Camouflage in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 225,000.00 (€ 204,657.09).
