In June this year Phillips in New York held the auction Editions & Works on Paper, which included the work Existential and Needy (C. p. 335) by Lari Pittman. The »bidding war« ended at USD 826.00 (€ 756.41), 38% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lari Pittman achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Transcendent Mutability Produced By Camouflage in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 225,000.00 (€ 204,657.09).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 38 % übertroffen
Im Juni diesen Jahres führte Phillips in New York die Auktion Editions & Works on Paper durch, in der auch die Arbeit Existential and Needy (C. p. 335) von Lari Pittman zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 826,00 (€ 756,41) und damit 38% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Lari Pittman erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Transcendent Mutability Produced By Camouflage im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 225.000,00 (€ 204.657,09).
