Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Kim Kang-Yong could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in March 2009 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary auction, the work Reality And Image changed hands for USD 3,750.00 (€ 2,827.84) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Kim Kang-Yong achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work REALITY + IMAGE 1406-1461 in May 2017 with an auction result of HKD 475,000.00 (€ 54,238.61).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Kim Kang-Yong konnte im März 2009 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Contemporary wechselte die Arbeit Reality And Image für USD 3.750,00 (€ 2.827,84) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Kim Kang-Yong erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit REALITY + IMAGE 1406-1461 im Mai 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 475.000,00 (€ 54.238,61).
